A plastic-free store that sells by the wrap, the pack and the metre
Beeswax Wraps Australia makes reusable food wraps by hand in Oberon, NSW, from organic cotton and certified Australian beeswax. We rebuilt their WooCommerce store so shoppers can choose a print, build a value pack or buy by the metre in a few taps, on any device, with a checkout that nudges them over the free-shipping line.
The challenge
The store had grown over years of plugins, page builders and custom code, and it showed. The goals were to:
- Make choosing a size and print simple on a phone
- Sell value packs where customers pick their own prints for each wrap
- Offer fabric by the metre for people who make their own wraps
- Give retailers a clear wholesale path and shoppers a stockist finder
- Fix a blog that had stopped rendering and bring it back as a normal blog
- Tidy the cart, checkout and account pages so they match the brand
- Keep shipping thresholds, Afterpay and PayPal working exactly as before
Project features
We kept WooCommerce and Elementor and rebuilt the parts customers touch. Product pages now show sizes and prints as bordered cards with dimensions on each size, grey out sizes not made in a chosen print instead of hiding them and lead with the real product photo. Value-pack pages walk through two numbered steps, choose your print then add to cart, with a two-column print picker and thumbnails that stay readable on a phone.
The shop page, cart, checkout and My Account pages were restyled in the brand’s gold and dark brown, cart rows became cards on mobile and a free-shipping bar tells shoppers how far they are from the $55 threshold. The blog was rebuilt as an Elementor single-post template so 70+ articles about the artists behind the prints display again. Contact page stockists and market listings now link straight to Google Maps.
