Why good local businesses stay invisible
Ranking in the map pack is not the same as ranking in normal search results. Google uses a different set of signals — and most small business websites send almost none of them.
A half-finished Google profile
An unverified profile, the wrong primary category, no service areas, no products, no photos since 2019. Google ranks the profile it understands best, and yours is telling it very little.
A website with no local signals
No LocalBusiness or Service structured data, an address that appears three different ways across the web, and service pages that never actually name the suburbs you work in.
Reviews nobody asks for
Review count and recency both feed map rankings. Without a simple system for asking, most businesses collect a handful over several years and then go quiet.
Fixed price, no surprises
One setup fee to fix the foundations, then a flat monthly fee to keep it moving. Both prices are ex GST, and the monthly has no lock-in.
Four steps, first movement in about a month
1. Audit
We look at your profile, your website's local signals, your reviews and the businesses currently outranking you, then tell you honestly whether local SEO is worth your money.
Week 12. Fix the foundations
Profile rebuilt, schema added, address details made consistent, service pages tuned for the suburbs you serve. This is where most of the movement comes from.
Weeks 1–23. Turn on reviews
We set up a simple way to ask every happy customer, so your review count and recency keep climbing without you thinking about it.
Week 24. Track and adjust
Rankings tracked across your suburbs, posts kept ticking over, reviews answered. You get a monthly report you can read in two minutes.
OngoingBuilt for businesses that serve a radius
Local SEO works hardest when customers search with intent and distance matters. That's most of who we work with across Melbourne's north.
Trades and home services
Plumbers, electricians, builders, landscapers, roofers. People search "near me", then call one of the first three results.
Clinics and allied health
Dental, physio, podiatry, psychology. Patients choose on proximity and reviews long before they read your website.
Local service businesses
Gyms, salons, cafes, accountants, childcare, real estate. Anywhere the map pack sits above the organic results.
What we don't do
Worth saying plainly, because plenty of SEO offers rely on you not asking.
We don't guarantee rankings
Nobody can. Anyone promising position one for a fixed fee is either guessing or targeting terms nobody searches for.
We don't buy links
Paid link networks are the fastest way to lose the rankings you have. Our monthly fee covers profile, reviews and tracking — not link building.
We don't lock you in
The monthly is month to month. If it isn't earning its keep, you stop, and the setup work stays yours.
Local SEO, answered
How long before I see results?
Google Business Profile changes often show within two to four weeks. Website and schema changes usually take four to eight weeks to settle. Review growth is steady rather than sudden. If nothing has moved by month three, we'll tell you and talk about whether to continue.
What's the difference between local SEO and regular SEO?
Regular SEO competes for normal search results across a whole city or country. Local SEO competes for the map pack — the three businesses shown with a map above the results. The map pack is driven mostly by your Google Business Profile, your proximity to the searcher, and your reviews, which is why a small business can win it even against much larger competitors.
Do I need a new website first?
Usually not. If your current site loads reasonably and has real service pages, we can add the local signals to what you already have. If it's very old or extremely slow, we'll say so — there's no point optimising a page that takes ten seconds to load.
I already paid for the $299 Google Business Profile setup. Does that count?
Yes. If we've already set up your profile, we credit that $299 against the $890 setup fee.
Can you rank me in suburbs I don't have an office in?
Partly. Google weighs the searcher's distance from your verified address heavily in the map pack, so you'll always rank strongest close to home. Service area settings and suburb-specific website pages extend your reach into the normal organic results, which is where most of the wider coverage comes from.
What happens if my profile gets suspended?
We handle reinstatements. Straightforward cases are covered under your monthly plan; complex suspensions involving verification disputes are quoted separately at $500 per case.
Do I own everything if I leave?
Yes. The Google Business Profile is in your name, the schema and page changes live on your website, and the reviews are yours. Nothing switches off when you stop paying.
How is this different from the SEO agency you partner with?
Our local SEO service covers map pack visibility for a single business serving a defined area. For broader or national organic SEO campaigns — competitive content, large ecommerce catalogues, link acquisition — we introduce you to our SEO partner, who does that work at a different scale.
